Welcome to the website for the
All Party Parliamentary Group for Gas Safety (APPGSG)
The APPGSG is a forum for discussion on gas safety issues. This takes account of those areas which affect both the gas installation industry and consumers, including the security of installation and supply of appliances; skills shortages and training; fuel poverty; irresponsible landlords; and the effects of social exclusion.
The Group is chaired by Barry Sheerman MP and Maria Miller MP.
"The All Party Gas Safety Group is a forum which allows us to call for important measures like pressing for improved gas checks and increased use of carbon monoxide detectors".
Barry Sheerman MP
"I was inspired to join the group following the death of a young girl from carbon monoxide poisoning in my constituency. Through the work of the group, and raising the profile of gas safety in Parliament, I believe we can help prevent such tragedies happening again".
Maria Miller MP
